Well Friday is finally here and its time to load up the van and head off for another trip to Moulicent. This trip is a little different to the others, as I am taking my son Rhiodn for his first trip to France. We will be leaving Hull at 8pm and heading down to Dover, where we will catch the ferry to Calais. Once in France its a 3 hour drive to Moulicent. This trip is really special for me as its a great opportunity for Rhio to catch a "real lump". Well theres not really anything more to say today, so I will report in again when we are in France. Hi guys I am just reporting in from France. We arrived at the lake and as usual I was taken away with just how peaceful it is. We met John and did the usual introductions. We also met two Dutch anglers who are fishing Moulicent called Raymond & Steve.
After the meets & greets we got down to business of setting up home for the week. Rhiodn & myself are fishing peg 1 which is a double swim at the top of the lake. This is perfect as its my favourite peg and it covers alot of water. In the past I have been very successful on this peg, so fingers crossed our luck will be in again this week. Mally

Well there is nothing to report form ourselves on the first night's fishing. It has been quiet at the moment however there is still plenty of time left and it has dont nothing to dampen our spirits. Raymond & Steve, the two dutch anglers also fishing the lake managed a couple of fish up to 31lbs. I will email the pictures to Nick as soon as possible so he can upload them to the site. Mally

Hi all. Well what a fantastic morning it is here at Moulicent. Why? Well because Rhiodn & myself managed a fantastic double hookup this morning. The result was a 32lb mirror & a 42lb mirror in the landing net at the same time. To catch one fish would of been great but to get 2 is brilliant, especially as one of them went over the magical 40lbs. Even more special is the fact that Rhiodn got to witness and catch his first French carp. Well that's it for now, I will keep Nick posted regarding any more catches from ourselves or our Dutch friends. Mally

Wednesday 10/06/09
Further catches today including 20+ mirrors and a mirror carp up to 46lbs 5oz. Not a bad weeks fishing so far. The Dutch anglers have also been doing well landing more 30+ mirrors. Here is a pic of a 28lbs mirror from today, and i will also send the picture of the 46 as soon as a i can. Mally

Well it was a great trip and some truly great catches. All in all there was about 20+ fish caught including the new lake record. A big thank you to Stef & Steve, our Dutch friends who joined myself & Rhio on this trip. It was a great week, and hope you can join us in the future. Mally
